Ultra Rare Baseball Card Expected to Sell for Over $50,000 in the Mill Tomorrow

There has been a lot of buzz over the last few weeks regarding North Dam Mill tenant, the Saco River Auction Co. Baseball card collectors from around the country will be watching, and possibly even bidding, on a rare Old Judge Cigarette cabinet card of the 1888 Boston Beaneaters’ Michael “King” Kelly. The card is expected to sell for over $50,000 due to the fact that a King Kelly card with the same pose and a lower grade for quality sold for $72,000 in a private sale recently.

Saco River Auction will be holding the auction Wednesday the 29th, at 5:00pm, in the North Dam Mill. The auction house will accept bids in person, on the phone and via the Internet.

You can find more information by visting Saco River Auction’s website, and by reading the stories about the rare card in the Portland Press Herald and on WGME News 13.
