Who are you and where are you from?

My name is Marc Feldman, COO and co-founder of Think Tank Biddeford. I’m originally from Florida and came to Maine via all parts of the U.S and beyond. I have been fortunate to call Maine my home for the last 33 years. After graduating from Dishwasher University, I have been a chef, restaurant owner, carnival worker, and buyer and salesman in the wholesale grocery industry. Now I’m co-owner of a coworking business and it just gets better every day.

Tell me a little about your business?

Think Tank is a collaborative work space, designed and built for the ever changing work force of today and the future. It is a social gathering of independent workers. From monthly floating memberships to small offices, Think Tank Biddeford is home to over 50 different businesses all working in an atmosphere filled with the energy of others. Think Tank offers a solution to the problem of isolation that many freelancers experience while working at home, while at the same time letting them escape the distractions of home.

What made you choose the mill for your business?

The day I walked into the Mill and looked at the space we are currently in, I felt an energy that I did not feel anywhere else. It is hard to put my finger on it, but the mill location just felt right. After taking a step back and doing our due diligence we came to realize that the Mill is a major key to the revitalization of Biddeford. The location on Main St., the Pepperell Mill Team, the activity and energy that you feel everyday here made it the logical choice. It sold itself to us.

How long have you been doing this?

We have been in business in the mill since November 2015 (16 months). Think Tank has been in existence for 7 years in Portland.
What makes your business interesting to you?
Everyday I get to interact with people I never would have known if we hadn’t opened in Biddeford. The people are the key. Every day I get to meet and collaborate with a widely diverse group of dynamic, interesting people.

What makes you stand out from others in the same industry?

There are two essential ingredients that make coworking at Think Tank a great experience for its members:

Ideation. The coworking philosophy of Think Tank centers on “ideation”, the concept that everyone gets better, faster when working together, sharing their ideas and talents in ways that reshape them and make them stronger than they were before.

Community. A strong community spirit of cooperation and mutual support, that reflects the people and places where they are located, is what makes coworking at Think Tank special.

In the end though, It is the members. They separate us from the rest.
